NORMAN D. "Porky" SHEVALIER, Sr., age 65, of Bacon Rd., Groton, NY passed away Saturday, July 15, 2006 at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. Born April 20, 1941 in Etna, NY, he was a son of the late John and Edna Cranmer Shevalier and husband of the late Margaret Cornell who died in 1998. He had been employed with Cargill in Lansing prior to retirement.

Mr. Shevalier is survived by his son, Norman D. Shevalier, Jr. of Groton, NY; daughters, Peggy (Michael) Weber of Lansing, NY and Roxanne (Rollin Dimick) Shevalier of Ithaca, NY; brothers, John C. (Dot) Shevalier of Brooktondale, NY, Nathan W. (Verble) Shevalier of Brooktondale, NY; sisters, Helen Cornell of Brooktondale, Arlene (Archie) Doty of Lansing, NY, Rosella Sears of McGraw, NY, Beverly (Franklin) Morgan of Newfield, NY; grandchildren, Jessy and Robert Weber of Lansing, NY and many adoptive grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Leon Shevalier.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, July19, 2006 with Rev. Alan Kinney officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery, Dryden. Friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home prior to service time.
