JANE REED TRUMBULL, age 84, of 522 Irish Settlement Road, Freeville, NY died Wednesday, September 6th, 2006 at the Cayuga Medical Center at Ithaca, NY. Mrs. Trumbull was born September 27, 1921 at Cortland, NY a daughter of the late John and Mary Sweetlove Reed and had lived nearly all of her life on the family farmstead on Irish Settlement Road. On June 24, 1942 she was married to Gerald Trumbull who passed away June 7th, 2001. Jane was graduated from Dryden High School as the Valedictorian of the Class of 1939 and was a recipient of the Latin Cup. Active in community affairs, Jane was a Past President of the Dryden PTA and was employed for many years as a secretary in the school district office. She was a member of Dryden Township History House.

Survivors include her son, Stephen M. (Eileen) Trumbull, her daughters, Patricia (Thomas) Quinn both of Freeville and Carol (Richard) Heffron of Plano, TX; grandchildren, Sean McGory, Tanya Trumbull, Lauren Pipher, Alfonse Pinto, and Thomas Trumbull; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Brendan Pipher, Grace McGory, Greyson and Landry Pinto. She was predeceased by two brothers and a sister.

Graveside services will be held at 3 PM Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006 at Green Hills Cemetery, Dryden with Rev. David C. Robinson officiating. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are entrusted to the Perkins Funeral Home. Friends wishing to remember Jane are asked to consider a memorial to the Dryden Ambulance Fund, P.O.
